LONDON - April 4, 2002. Joystick Junkies is expanding and in a move to ensure the long term stability of it's growing editorial site and web community, has signed
a deal to hand over it's website management to community, content, support and site management specialists AlienPants.
The one year deal will see AlienPants take on the regular site
management functions, including updates, development and technical
support to ensure the site fulfills the many demands expected on it
over the forthcoming year.
AlienPants founder Tom Gordon, one of the regular contributors to the
site commented, "Joystick Junkies is an exciting concept, and the
monthly club night has been a regular part of life for more than a
year now. I'm extremely happy that we're taking on the management of
the Joystick Junkies website."
Chris Birch, founder of Joystick Junkies expressed his relief at
finally being able to don a pair of pants, "Mother never let me near
them, but thankfully Tom's team are well experienced in dealing with a
growing entity like Joystick Junkies. When you have a fledgling
project like this it's difficult to trust your baby with anyone but
yourself. However I'm confident that the AlienPants gang will bring
more than we bargained for and contribute a great deal to the growth
of the brand."
In another move the team have appointed long time contributor and industry
commentator Philippa Norman as Assistant Editor. Philippa will be
overseeing the growing global editorial team and assisting with building
the monthly events.
AlienPants first official presence at the Joystick Junkies monthly
events will be this forthcoming 11th April at the SAK Bar where the
AlienPants t-shirt exhibition will show off some of the classic shirts
from the last few years.
