LONDON – 20 May 2004 - AlienPants Ltd (www.alienpants.com) has launched the official website for their premium SMS Hints, Tips and Cheats service, GTIP. The website, available at http://www.gtip.co.uk/ or http://www.smscheats.co.uk/ provides information about the GTIP question answering service, including details of how to make use of the service and the platforms supported.
“The service is available anywhere at almost any time, so you can find out the specific cheat, hint or tip you need while you’re playing the game,” says Tom Gordon, CEO of AlienPants. “Just pause the game, send in your question, and the answer will come straight back to your phone, letting you continue with your game.”
The GTIP service was originally launched in trial form in December 2002, and launched commercially in January 2003, originally as a white-label service for games publishers, developers and magazines. Since mid-2003, GTIP has also been available directly to AlienPants customers by texting ‘GTIP’ and a question to the UK shortcode 60070.
Customers can access the GTIP service from the four major mobile networks in the UK: O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone, with support for Virgin Mobile and 3 subscribers being added shortly. |
