The Gathering Recap
I traveled to Hamer on Wednesday morning to attend the Gathering. The trip took an hour and twenty minutes, it was well worth it. I’ve had an excellent time. I just thought I’d make a post to let you know a little bit more about the Gathering.
Here is some interesting facts about the Gathering:
- The Gathering “TG” is the second largest LAN event in the World.
- Over 5000 people are attending.
- The event is taking place in the Vikingskipet Olympic Arena.
- There are more people at the Vikingskipet Olympic Arena than there are living city of Hamer.

- There are no British press (online or print) attending the Gathering apart from me
- The first ever official Command & Conquer 3 tournament starts in a few hours. Louis Castle, one of the founders of Westwood Studios and Jason Bender (Lead designer of C&C3) are at the Gathering.
- There is a live two-way feed to the Scene.org awards in Germany.
- Juiced.no is hosting pictures of the Gathering babes.
- Beer is expensive (A pint of beer costs £7).
It is just turning 2am, I need some rest as it was a very long day and I’m doing a lot of traveling tomorrow. I’ll post more about this surreal trip over the next few days.
