The Live Twitter Plan
The plan I had for live twittering today didn’t work out too well but I saw Call of Duty 4’s single player… The game looks absolutely amazing and I’m really looking forward to the Mulitplayer beta test.

I’m due to fly out to Oslo in late September for business and a brief holiday but I’ve just found out World in Conflict will be at this year’s eXperience show. Hmm I think I’ll attend this event with some of the folks from gameXplore – it would be fun playing them in the WiC tournaments!
You can find out more about eXperience via the official site.
I’ll be visiting a game publisher tomorrow to play test a number titles (Most of the games are due out later this year). I highly doubt I’ll be able to take any pictures or record video but keep an eye on my Twitter feed for the latest updates…
The World in Conflict demo was released on Friday and with it, a new version of MassGate. When we were testing the Open Beta of WiC, the developers had MassGate online via the web but without any of the neat features.
If you’re playing the demo, then check out MassGate. You can view my profile but I haven’t had a lot of time to play the game, however, you’ll be able to view detailed game play stats, clan information and leader boards.
OK, the World in Conflict demo is now available to download. For more information please visit worldinconflict.com
GAME has just confirmed the Xbox 360 Elite I pre-ordered a few weeks ago is on it’s way. According to the email, the new console is due to arrive tomorrow – one day before it’s officially released. I really hope this item doesn’t get lost in the post like the HDTV but if both items turn up by Saturday morning, its going to fun setting everything up.
I’m really looking forward to playing BioShock on the HDTV. The game cries out for HD viewing.
Last Thursday I ordered a very cool HDTV via Amazon.co.uk. The estimated delivery date was set for the 21st August. It’s Wednesday 22nd and it hasn’t arrived, yet.
I just called Amazon and they made me laugh. Apparently, City Link (the couriers) have lost the 37inch TV in the post and a replacement is going to be sent to me. Hopefully, it will be here in time for the weekend.
My last day off work was two weeks ago and this weekend, I’m totally chilling out. Next week is going to be as busy as this week and I can’t see things dissipating any time soon… Anyhoo, BioShock arrived this morning and I’m going to be relaxing in front of the TV with BioShock spinning around the 360’s drive. I had a brief play of the game earlier and if you like First Person Shooters, then you’ll really enjoy this game. There is so much to do in the game world and the graphics are stunning.
I picked up Hour of Victory yesterday and on first impressions it’s an interesting game. It’s no Call of Duty clone because if its unique game play style. Basically, you select one of three roles to play and these are Covert Ops, Commando and Ranger – each has its own weapons and style of play. Whilst the graphics don’t look too good, the game is fun at times. There are driving sections in the game but it lacks the rich experience of the driving sections in Call of Duty 3. I’ve not played the Multi-player game modes yet but I’ll give them ago at some point this weekend.
