Some interesting news has just hit my N95’s RSS reader. Apparently, Vivendi Mobile Entertainment is going to launch an entertainment portal at some point in the near future - more information is available on Reuters.
Eurogamer has posted up its latest show and while it covers the Halo 3 beta and Forza Motorsport 2 it does have a lot of interesting World in Conflict media. The footage was recorded at the online press event for World in Conflict which took place in London a few months ago. You can check out the footage via Eurogamer.tv - the WiC footage starts around the 9minute mark.
Team Dignitas has posted up a number of photo’s from CentralLAN 16. You can view the pictures via the online gallery. I’ve got about 100 photos to upload and they should be live in the next few days.
World in Conflict has an extremely positive impact upon the attendees of CentralLAN UK.Gamers are really enjoying the game. We’ve seen a number of great matches throughout the day and at one point there were so many people around the WiC set up I wasn’t able to see anything!
I’ve taken a number of photos and they will be posted on the official World in Conflict website in the next few days.

I’ll post more later but now it is time for the BBQ and a pint or three
It is nearly 3am and I’m absolutely knackered. We had a few issues with the hardware but everything is pretty much on track now. Ok, here is some World in Conflict news in brief:
- The award winning Seattle trailer is currently looped on the projector and it has gone down well with the friendly crowd attending the LAN.
- We’ve had some great 3 vs. 3 games running but tomorrow is D-day as we’ll be letting people play the game from 10am – 3pm for training and then we’ll be hosting tournaments until 8pm. The winners of the tournament will win a place in the World in Conflict closed beta which officially starts on the 1st June.
- Team Dignitas are attending CentraLANUK for World in Conflict - the team recently won the first leg of the CPL World Tour in Verona, Italy.
- There are over 100 people attending the LAN. The cool thing is that we’ve got a fully licensed bar, next-generation console area and a couple of pool tables.
That is it for now. I’ve got full access to the Internet, email and I’ll post up live updates throughout the weekend.
Edit: Added links.
It is that time of year again as my good old buddy is celebrating his 28th birthday today. Happy birthday dude.
Now, we’ve just got to see if Adam honours’ his side of the agreement
On Friday the 25th May 2007 World in Conflict will be exclusively showcased to the attendees of Central LAN 16 - w00t. The event is due to start at 4pm tomorrow.
If you’d like to get hands-on time with World in Conflict then I highly recommend this event. You can find out more about the LAN via CentralLANUK.co.uk. I’ll be at the event over the weekend and I will try ‘live blogging’. Stay tuned!
F.A.O. Matt aka Zyber Jedi please give me a call when you read this… Stu has got my mobile number. As I’m in your neck of the woods, let’s meet up for long-awaited beer
I was playing At Worlds End last night and I noticed the leader boards feature in the game so I decided to check it out. As you can see from the picture below my gamer score nemesis is ranked first place on the friend’s leader boards.
C&VG is currently running a really cool competition whereas 1000 members of the public will be able to take part in the upcoming World in Conflict closed beta test. The winners are due to be announced tomorrow.

Pictured in order: Me, Martin Walfisz, Jonnie Bryant, CeCe, Dan and Simon Wells.
As I was just browsing the site I noticed a couple of interesting articles. C&VG interviewed Martin Walfisz (President and CEO Massive Entertainment) and they’ve got article covering the developers decade long history.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End arrived this morning and it is an impressive game. Usually most movie to game conversions suck but At Worlds End is pretty decent. I guess you could compare it to Eragon and Marvel Ultimate Alliance because those games weren’t too bad apart from the annoying camera.
