Ho Ho Ho
Throughout 2007 a number of good looking movies are due to hit the big screen and as always games publishers have snapped up the rights to create video games based on those movies.
Let’s see, so far I’ve noted: Battlestar Galactica, Spiderman 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers. The movie trailers look very good and I’m hoping the games based on these movies work out well. I know for sure that Activision, Vivendi Games and Ubisoft will do well with Battlestar Galactica, Spiderman 3 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but I’m not so sure about Transformers. (Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Atari has the license for Transformers?) My firm favourite has to be Transformers and I really can’t wait for the new movie. It looks awesome!
It’s like the early 1980’s all over again
Out of the above four, which game/movie are you most looking forward to watching and playing?
I was planning on catching up with some much needed game time on the Xbox 360 as I’m on holiday from work until the 8th January 2007. I was playing Rainbow Six: Vegas on my Xbox 360. I’ve got to the last level in the game on realistic difficulty and as I had to do a few things in the afternoon, I switched the Xbox 360 off and thought I’d play the last level in the evening.
Just after 7pm I picked up the Xbox 360 controller, pressed the guide button and bingo, three red lights show up on the console. I checked the support pages of Xbox.com and unplugged all the cables, hard drive etc to see if that would make a difference. Well, it didn’t and I ended up calling Xbox support who informed me that the console needed to be repaired. The odd coincidence is that Keri’s Xbox 360 died as soon as she went on holiday which has got me thinking about the reliability of the patches (updates) as there are a lot of reports about problems like this on the internet.
I was browsing the Xbox Live Marketplace as you do and noticed some missing data from the Eragon listing. As you can see from the picture below there is some missing data:

I’ve fired over an email to Microsoft about this but I haven’t had a response yet. If you spot anything odd on the Xbox Live Marketplace leave a comment.
Last week we launched TotallyPS3.com and our Nintendo Wii website now brings the network to a total of three sites covering every aspect of next-generation goodness. You can check out the new community site via TotallyWii.com
Also, Wayne has posted up a new podcast which goes into detail about the new network sites. Give it a listen and as always post your feedback on the forums.
Apparently our last Christmas party was held at Wagamamas in London’s West End. (I can’t really remember a great deal from December last year as I was wasted a lot over that period). This years Xmas gathering was held at Jin’s Korean Restaurant and it was awesome, I still can’t get over the amount of starters that piled up on the table before the main BBQ course!
As I mentioned the other day, I’ve just posted up the pictures and videos from the party. Check ‘em out and I think you’ll agree that it was a refreshing blast of fun
Many thanks go out to Keri Allan, Jonnie Bryant and Alex Verrey for an great night.

Chris and Emma arrived back in the UK from Hong Kong and they joined us for our extravagant Xmas party at Jins Korean restaurant. The Xmas party was good fun and everyone had a great time. I’ll be posting about the party later alongside a number of pictures and an extremely funny video, once I’ve recovered.
I’m heading over to Reading today for a meeting with a pretty big company. I’ve actually been preparing for this meeting for a good few weeks now as it should produce some interesting results for the gaming community in the months to come. As always, I’ll update you when this project is ready…
