Blog Feeding

Filed under: Xbox 360, My Blog — Duke @ 12:54 am

I totally forgot all about this but my blog’s RSS feed is picked up a number of sites like GameCentro.com, which is nice (I best point out that the sites that use my RSS feed only pick up posts related to the Xbox 360).

Episode five of The Rabies Shot is now available to download via Totally360.com or iTunes. Please note we have had a couple of technical issues with the RSS feed so it may not show up in the podcast listing of iTunes. We are working on the issue and hope to have it resolved soon.

Lock it down

Filed under: Xbox 360, Mobile, Digital Lifestyle, Computing, Cross-Platform — Duke @ 2:40 pm

This morning my PC 120 headset turned up. I was using the Halo themed headset but for some reason gamers always had problems hearing what I was saying over Xbox Live… the really cool thing about the Sennheiser headset is that you can use it with a PC, Xbox, Xbox 360 and mobile phone.

Product: Sennheiser PC 120 Headset
Availability: Out now
Price: £59.07 £24.99 via Amazon.co.uk (I’m not sure why Amazon have the PC 120 headset priced at £59.07).

You can read my review of the PC 120 headset via News0r.com and/or Totally360.com.

Edit: Price correction and review posted.

Thanks Sennheiser and Ubisoft.

Xbox in your pocket

Filed under: Xbox 360, Games, Digital Lifestyle, Cross-Platform — Duke @ 11:46 pm

I was surfing over Xbox.com and noticed the new campaign ‘Xbox in your pocket’. You can get a number of exclusive downloads including streamed media via the new Xbox Wap portal. Out of curiosity has anyone tried the service?

Blog Update #5

Filed under: My Blog — Duke @ 3:55 pm

Another month another dollar quid… well, I haven’t had a great deal of time to add anything to my blog but I do hope to add a tag cloud, a CSS style sheet to enable mobile viewing, advertsing and enabling a media player. I’ll get those things sorted soon, hopefully.

Edit: I’ve updated the side/menu bar. I’ve added music, mobile and MoSoSo (Mobile Social Networking) categories. Music is dedicated to what I’m listening to and Zune whilst mobile speaks for itself… MoSoSo is related to Social Networking via mobile phones, it’s very cool stuff and I’ve spent along time playing around and researching it. I’ve started a new feature called ‘Did you know?’ mainly to create awareness of what we’re up to in the games industry. Ah yeh, apart from accessing this blog via alienpants.com/duke, you can also view it via gameguru.tv/duke - neat huh?

If anyone would like to give us a hand please feel free to ping me on messenger or send me an email :)

Did you know?

Filed under: AlienPants, Did you know?, Games Industry — Duke @ 3:28 pm

Last night I had an idea about how to create awareness on what AlienPants Ltd, its products, services and partners get up to within the games industry. I’ll be posting up a random fact about what we have done so without further ado here goes:

  • Four years ago AlienPants was featured on the BBC as the company administrated a large scale tournament for British Telecom (BT) and Yahoo’s games portal Games Domain.

Touch-screen Mobiles

Filed under: Mobile, Technology, Digital Lifestyle — Duke @ 12:40 pm

A few weeks ago the BBC’s Click show televised a report on touch-screen mobile phones. While the concept is interesting it’s going to be a few years (maybe sooner) before touch-screen mobiles hit stores.

The following touch-screen mobile was designed by Pilotfish and Synaptics:

It’s called the Onyx and instead of having buttons it uses sensor technology. It allows the user to dial numbers or open applications with signs and gestures. A Wii-mobile is possible…

Totally360’s podcast has now entered it’s forth week and the shows host: Wayne Perry has got the podcast listed in iTunes. If you boot up iTunes and enter “The Rabies Shot” in the search box it should find the podcast and allow you to subscribe to it. Good job Wayne :D

As always keep your feedback coming in so we can continuity utilise it within the weekly show :)

Muther f*cking snakes on a muther f*cking plane

Filed under: Friends, Gatherings, Movies — Duke @ 8:19 pm

I just got back from watching Snakes on a Plane and to my surprise it was pretty good. At times during the movie it was funny yet scary but overall it was a good movie. If you get a chance this weekend head over to your local cinema and check out the movie.
