Since I got back to the UK I have spent a lot of time looking for a decent golf club. I think I have finally found one. I’ am going to visit the Trent Park Golf Centre tomorrow and it is highly likely that I’ll be booking a day at the course in early March.

I want to practice my swing. I can reach the 250 marker at the range but I want to try and increase that to 300 - 400 marker. If you’d like to come along, contact me via cell or email ASAP <strike>- I’ll update this post with costs, confirmed date etc tomorrow evening.</strike>

Update: Due to my ISP going offline on Friday I have only been able to update this post today, Monday 23rd February.

Based upon the amount of emails I have received so far, I will not be posting details of the golf day online. This is mainly because I don’t want ‘certain’ people just turning up and bugging my friends and I. For those that will be attending, you will receive an email before 20:00 hours tonight.

The following blog post has absolutely nothing to do with the Epic LAN events pinned in the gaming calendar. However, this blog post contains a number of observations that I have made over the past few months based upon the current dopes that run the Government

Under a Labour government, Public Transport has become expensive and over crowded.
Under a Labour government, the 2012 Olympics are under funded
Under a Labour government, were completely unprepared for the snow.
Under a Labour government, Emergency Services are stretched to breaking point.
Under a Labour government, were totally unprepared for the floods.
Under a Labour government, a number of you elected a dope (aka Boris Johnson, as the London Major).
Under a Labour government, has encouraged even more drunken dopes onto the streets at all hours.

I voted for Labour in 1997 as I was duped into believing there would be ‘real’ change under a Labour Government but all I’ve seen so far, is failure after failure after epic failure. The Labour government, has become an EPIC FAILURE.

The UK gets a little bit of snow and the Country falls apart… completely ridiculous and pathetic in this day and age.

Agree? Disagree? Do you have a Labour failure that should be added to the above list? Or do you have a point to raise? Please leave your opinion in the comment box, thanks.

I woke up at 5.30am this morning and proceed to go through my regular routine before leaving for work. I left the house at around 6.30am and walked up to the Cambridge Roundabout to catch a bus to Whetstone. I waited around for about 30 minutes and was told by a passerby that there was no public transport operating in London. Also, I received a phone call informing me of the situation. I decided to go home. I called my work place and they advised that Tuesday may be another snowday.

So far, I’ve taken the dog for a walk and she ended up dragging me across the bridge and due to the mutt getting cold paws, I ended up carrying her home. I cleared all the snow from the front garden path but as soon as I was done, snow had covered it again. Damnit. I had a snow ball fight with the dog and I won, Mwhaha!

2009 will be a smoke free year… I’ve kicked the habit and I won’t be going back

Exercise for at least one hour per day.

Eat healthy.

Move to B.C.

Ignore ignorant, stupid people and stay clear from any of their babble.

Not spend a penny or cent on any kind of Microsoft* product.

That’s about it from me… have a great New Year folks.

(* I brought a three month Xbox Live Subscription from Zavvi for £8.99 for the sole reason of communicating and playing games with my young cousin).

Over the past week or so I’ve watched a number of TV shows featuring the Hubble Space Telescope. The images that are gathered from the scope in space are absolutely fascinating. I’ve always had an interest in everything space related since I was a child. In fact, I’ve got an image of the Eagle Nebula set as a wallpaper on my Mac.

Starting tonight, there are number of TV shows on the National Geographic channel deadicated to, Space. I’ve listed the shows below:

Space Week
Take a bold and compelling look at what the future will hold for our planet, the Milky Way and the entire universe.

Journey to the Edge of the Universe
Fusing images and information from spacecraft, the Hubble Space Telescope and the world’s biggest telescopes, this is the first accurate exploration of the cosmos, from our planet to the rest of the universe.
Sunday 4th January at 8pm

Cosmic Monsters
Take a virtual journey starting in the early days of the universe and the creation of the stars, right down to the centre of our own galaxy, the Milky Way, where a truly hungry monster sits a supermassive black hole.
Monday 5th January at 9pm

Hubble’s Final Frontier
The Hubble Space Telescope is responsible for mapping the skies in such a way that it seems inconceivable that the final frontier of space could ever have been successfully breached without it. Astronauts are preparing a dangerous mission to refurbish it once more before being succeeded by the James Webb Telescope.
Monday 5th January at 10pm

Death of the Universe
A look at how it all might end. Will the cosmos be torn apart atom by atom in a cataclysmic finale, or will the universe continue to expand forever as its nuclear furnaces grow cold and die?
Tuesday 6th January at 9pm

Martian Robots
Since 2004, two intrepid explorers have been trekking across the surface of Mars. Surviving in the hostile landscape and persevering in the face of elemental and mechanical difficulties, rovers Spirit and Opportunity now face the final stretch of their mission.
Wednesday 7th January at 9pm

You’d think Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game developers and publishers of video games could develop an entertaining and unique gaming experience. Well, guess what, you’d be wrong.

Do NOT buy Assassins Creed or Far Cry 2 instead try renting them out for a few days. You should notice that the gameplay is identical to the extent where you are forced into doing boring and repetitive tasks again and again.

Also, why does Ubisoft release so many sequels? Well, they’re a very greedy company and french but surely, as a global company they have some ‘talent’ that can come up with a unique game concept(s) instead of releasing tireless crap?

I’ve only played 23% of Far Cry 2 but I’m getting incredibly bored of it, however, I’m glad I didn’t waste forty quid on Far Cry 2. I’m thinking about giving it away or using it as a fizz bee but one thing is for sure, I’ll be avoiding Ubisoft at all cost’s from now on.
