After a four month respite from blogging I’m back… in July I decided to take a break from the blogging world and this was primely due to working at London Heathrow, taking a six week vacation in Canada and a few friends constantly whining at me to get back into blogging.
My blog’s design will remain unaffected. The content of my blog will pretty much remain focused on the subjects that I’ve covered over the past few years. I will continue to pimp cool product’s and services. And, of course, I will continue to be critical of products and companies that deserve to be criticized.
Normal service will now resume.
Ok folks, just wanted to find out if you’d prefer one major post per day for all the World in Conflict news or should I just carry on as normal with one post per news item? Let me know what you’d like in the comments box below
My blog is currently experiencing a huge surge of web traffic. This is mainly due to getting linked by the official World in Conflict website. There is a link on the official UK site but the increased traffic is coming from the global site. Sweet!
Why the sudden increase? Well, it’s because I posted up four new World in Conflict wallpapers. Oddly, these assets were released with a load of new screenshots but I don’t think any online media outlets posted the wallpapers.
If you’re experiencing any downtime with my blog then please let me know but our server seems to be coping pretty well with the hundreds of hourly hits this weekend.
Thanks to everyone that linked to the post and credited me as the source.
STOP THE PRESS!
// Gareth Williams (aka Guru Vagus) has fixed updated his long running blog by unleashing a new theme and he has added a portfolio of his work within Online, Print, Mobile and TV Media. If you’re a reader of Gareth’s previous blog then you’ll know he sucks at updating it, however he has updated the blog three times today - amazing super-sensationally awesome. (Sorry, I got a bit carried away with the lines from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Anyhoo, check out the new blog via this linkage.
This morning my copy of Windows Vista Ultimate arrived and I’m currently preparing my system for the installation of the new operating system. Once Windows Vista is installed, configured and working properly my blog will be primary powered by Windows Vista Ultimate. The relevant logos indicating this will be live on the blog shortly. I won’t be online until the installation is complete.
Before I actually begin the installation, I’ve got to back up, save and transfer all of my files and folders to an external storage device. The laptop is acting as a host for all of the data but the process is taking its time. So far, transferring files to the laptop has taken over two hours but then there is over 30GB of data!
I’m hoping to have everything done by 3pm at the latest as this is one of the only weekends that I’ve got a lot of work to do. It should be good though and I’m quite excited about using the new operating system. Fingers crossed, now I just hope the installation is flawless.
You may have noticed a few new features appearing then disappearing on my blog. I’m testing some stuff out. I did add a twitter script but I got bored of it then removed it. I’ve added a shared google reader to the sidebar so you can read stuff that I’m reading, obviously. I’ve added a few images namely The Book of Games and WiC Journal – I’ll be posting more about the WiC journal soon but for the moment check out xx-theclan.com.
Some more cool features will be added soon. I really can’t wait to gauge your reaction to some of the new stuff because I do not think it has ever been done on a blog before.
