Me on Wii

The Nintendo Wii is awesome.
Last week we launched TotallyPS3.com and our Nintendo Wii website now brings the network to a total of three sites covering every aspect of next-generation goodness. You can check out the new community site via TotallyWii.com
Also, Wayne has posted up a new podcast which goes into detail about the new network sites. Give it a listen and as always post your feedback on the forums.
Nintendo has officially launched Wii in the UK today. Earlier on I walked around my local shopping centre mainly to see if there were any demo pods because I’ve totally stayed clear of anything to do with the Wii until I have one sitting next to my TV.
I wasn’t able to find any demo pods but I was surprised to find the Wii in stock but the store was only selling the console with six games at £380… I should be getting a Wii sometime next week but I’m not going to touch it until Christmas day. Anyone getting a Wii?
As there are now only three months of 2006 left to go. I thought I’d make a list of goodies that are coming out in the next few months that I’d like to be playing right NOW, so here goes:
New home entertainment exercise device:
Nintendo Wii - I’m still not sure about the games but the virtual console looks like it will bring back the golden days of retro gaming. Oh yeh, I’m not sure if Lucas Arts has announced a Star Wars game for the Wii but if they do, I’d get it.
Red Steel
Xbox 360 Games:
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent
Gears of War
Just Cause
F.E.A.R. 360
Call of Duty 3
Viva Piñata
Crackdown
Star Trek Legacy – ah yes, that reminds me. I’ve got to send Wayne some interview questions quick time otherwise he’s going to slap me.
I think that’s about it for games in 2006. There may be more games but the above is what I’m most looking forward too.
A friend of mine was lucky enough to try out Nintendo’s Wii a few weeks a go and he has been banging on about it ever since - you can read his hands-on impressions via this link.
I own a GameCube and a DS but I’m keen to find out more about the connectivity between the DS and Wii. Out of all of the next-generation platforms the main company that has my full attention is Nintendo as they are once again providing the gamer with true innovation rather than tacky gimmicks… roll on la revolution and of course Red Steel.
The redesign for News0r.com has gone live. Apart from viewing the site online you can view it via o2’s imode service, T-Mobiles Web ‘n’ Walk alongside internet enabled PSP’s.
